ROME Prizes of five donkeys, five pigs and five chickens will help take the sting out of being eaten alive by mosquitoes in a contest to be staged in northern Italy next month, AFP quoted organizers as saying Saturday. The prizes will be awarded to the three couples killing the most mosquitoes during the competition, in which only bare hands are permitted to fend off the tiny bloodsuckers, according to the world Anti-Mosquito Federation (FMA). All contestants in the June 10 bite-off, at the town of Robbio in northern Pavia Province, will have to wear swim suits, socks that come up to the knees, "a mask from their region of origin" and a peasant's cap, the FMA said. The bloody battle is open to all Europeans.
